100 things about Sway
1. I went to kindergarten at DeKalb college
2. I still have 2 of my baby teeth… (interesting phenomenon… most people don’t notice unless I open my mouth really wide and show them.)
3. I hate tomatoes, but love ketchup...
4. I play the clarinet and drums, and I dabble a little with the piano and guitar
5. I’m afraid of nail shops… they are so germy and nasty. What if I catch something? Ugh.
6. I’ve never been stung by a bee. (knock on wood)
7. I didn’t know I had a half-brother until I was 13…. (and he was 20)
8. I can’t scream. I never have been able to no matter how hard I try. :(
9. I had a pet bird named Alphe when I was 5. It was my first and last pet.
10. I am afraid of heights.
11. I’m allergic to heat.
12. I actually loved and watched Mr. Rogers when I was a baby.
13. I scored a 880 on the SAT when I took it in 7th grade and thus got involved in the “Duke” Scholar Summer Program…which was great considering I was 12 and had never had trig, geometry or algebra…lol
14. I’ve wanted to be an orthodontist since I was 6.
15. My ears are smaller than some newborn babies. (crazy, but true, I’ve had ppl check. Lol)
16. Most people think I look Ethiopian…including actual Ethiopians. Lol
17. If I have anything on my lips when I go to bed (including carmax, lip gloss, Vaseline, etc), I’ll wake up with huge lips… some kind of allergic reaction happens..
18. I can’t hula-hoop. :(
19. Between July of 2002 and July 2003, I changed jobs 8 times.
20. I starred as the first black Cinderella in our elementary school production.
21. The parents at my school got really upset about it and threatened to boycott the show if they allowed me to star as Cinderella.
22. My mom is ‘bout it! She made sure that I stayed the star and brought the entire church, her co-workers and friends to support me. It was a great show if I do say so myself. :)
23. I’m the first in my family to graduate from college.
24. I was the last in my family to graduate from college.
25. I wear a size 6.5 in women shoes.
26. I’ve only ‘bought’ 3 CD’s in my entire life.
27. The first and last CD I bought was Outcast.
28. I’ve been prophesized to 3 different times at 3 different places by 3 different people that I am going to be a Prophetess.
29. I have broken both my ankles.
30. I ate tuna and crackers everyday for lunch for a year my senior year in high school.
31. I am allergic to mangos.
32. I took 5 years of Spanish but can’t speak it to save my life…
33. Every car I’ve ever had has been silver.
34. Every car I’ve ever had has been totaled.
35. Nne of the silver totaled cars I’ve had was driven by me at the time of the accident.
36. I’ve been engaged once, but have been asked seriously 3 times.
37. I am the only person I know that wore blue color contacts for 6 months and ppl hardly noticed even when they looked right into my eyes for long periods of time.
38. My favorite restaurant is Olive Garden.
39. Most ppl find me very easy to talk to.
40. In the seventh grade, I dated a guy who rode “the short bus”. (no one knew he rode it until the 6th grade…come to find out, he was 80% deaf and none of us ever knew it.)
41. I was actually envied by all the girls because even though he rode the “short bus”, he was the sexiest guy in the entire school.
42. Because of him, I know some sign language. :)
43. I wear different types of perfume dependent on my mood.
44. I’ve never been on a plane… (even when I went to cali, Canada, and texas!!)
45. I can’t sleep without covers. No matter how hot it is.
46. I have never smoked anything in my entire life.
47. Contrary to popular belief, I am African American and Irish.
48. I’ve only awakened to an alarm clock 2 times in my life.
49. Every other time, I will wake up 1-3 minutes before the alarm goes off… no matter what time I set it for.
50. I was in Who’s Who among high school students for 3 consecutive years.
51. I dropped out of gymnastics because I was deathly afraid that I’d do a flip, land on my head and break my neck.
52. I’ve had surgery 4x to get “tubes” put in my ear b/c I used to have terrible ear aches and it would result in my not being able to hear.
53. A crazy stalker guy put a knife to my throat because I wouldn’t date him.
54. In 3rd grade, me and 2 other girls wore crepe paper skirts and danced on stage to a song called “mama piquita” for an assembly.
55. I used to have a recurrent dream about running really fast but getting nowhere.
56. I drink about 24 oz of water right before bed and during the night, every night.
57. I am a pack rat. I still have papers/drawings/awards from Kindergarten...letters and movie stubs from my first boyfriend…and my first Valentines Day balloon. (all deflated of course.)
58. I am obsessed the smell of leather, plastic shower curtains, and new cars.
59. I am known for wearing one contact… (mainly b/c one of my contacts tear and I’m too lazy/cheap to buy another one)
60. I can count on one hand how many times during my entire life that I’ve missed Sunday morning service.
61. Every time my best friend and I go out, men always ask me if we’re lesbians (even if there are men with us)
62. I didn’t eat chicken (with the exception of like…chicken nuggets/tenders) until I was 15 because I thought it looked gross.
63. I took a physical attraction test the other day that told me that only 1% of the female population was more selective/picky than I when it comes to the appearance of men.
64. I am a purple belt in Karate. (didn’t quite make it to black belt before I had to quit due to the fact that I was 18 and the class was for children only, :( I never attended an adult class to finish…)
65. I broke my collarbone by falling down 2 flights of wooden stairs in my parents’ apartment when I was a little girl. (Needless to say, my parents never let my aunt baby sit me again.)
66. I didn’t eat red meat for 8 years of my life.
67. I can’t stand when ppl inhale/or suck in for a long period of time (holding their breath) without me hearing the same kind of exhale. Hearing someone inhale to me is equivalent to someone scratching his or her fingers across the chalkboard.
68. I won first place for two years straight in an Oratorical Contest. I was the youngest person to ever win the competition and my speech was the longest ever memorized.
69. The first concert I ever went to was New Edition. The last was Ludacris.
70. I was a straight tomboy until I was 14.
71. My name translates into “lady of Consolation” in Spanish.
72. I am a football fanatic. I am probably more passionate about football than most guys.
73. My mother made me go to Charm school where I learned how to be more “prissy” and lady like.
74. I still don’t do half the stuff they said, but I’ve definitely outgrown my “tomboy” stage.
75. When I was 7, I slid into a pile of ants and was bit by darn near all of ‘em. My dad ran out when he heard me screaming and hosed them off of me. (Darn those yellow slip slides and water hoses. I thought we’d be safe in the back yard. That’s what I get for going against my mother’s wishes to just wait until the weekend togo to White Waters Amusement Park)
76. I was in the 99th percentile on our IOWA tests in school.
77. I still have two scars on my left hand/wrist from my first experience with popping grease from frying fish!
78. My biggest fear is to die by suffocation.

81. When I was 10, I tried to impress this guy that lived in my neighborhood and attempted to do a backwards flip on CONCRETE (brilliant huh) and ended up busting my chin on the freakin concrete.
82. I often have very vivid dreams about the rapture, domestic abuse, and rape.
83. I spend majority of my time alone and in my head. When I finally do come out, I am rarely aware of what is going on with folks around me.
84. I’m very cynical about love and limerance.
85. My all time favorite movie is The Usual Suspects.
86. Some ppl think I’m anal because I never touch a door with my hands. (either I’ll have a napkin/tissue/something…or I’ll kick the door or push it open w/my hips/but/elbow)
87. I have a slight case of scoliosis.
88. I cry EVERYTIME I hear Michael Jackson’s “heaven can wait” song.
89. I have been in 2 fights in my life.
90. One with a guy from my neighborhood and I beat him to a pulp. (see #70)
91. The other was w/ a boyish girl who jacked me up off the ground and I scratched her gum and ran.

93. In high school, I was NEVER present for my own fights, jumpings, or beatings. Anyone that had a problem with me, Boyish girl fought. She fought for me and got in trouble for me and til this day, I don’t know why.
94. I’m the only person I know that thinks red nail polish is still pretty on black women. *lol*
95. I’d rather listen to classical music than hip/hop
96. I made my 1st CD at 19 yrs. Old. ( Of course it flopped. You’ve never heard of Sway have you? Dang. )

100. My first year of college, I went to a club, had a guy buy me a drink, thought it was harmless (it was actually a shot tanqueray NOT on the rocks). I drunk a few, got tipsy.. and didn't realize my tube top had came completely down and everyone had a good full frontal of me for about 5 min. That's the last time i drank tanqueray and the last time I wore a tube top.
